Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and it is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living.

The Trinity

There is one God who eternally exists as three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in nature, power, and glory.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life.

The Death, Resurrection, and Return of Christ

Jesus Christ died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will one day return in glory.

Salvation

Salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. It is the free gift of God and cannot be earned through good works.

Humanity

Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth. Because of sin, all people are separated from God and are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowers holy living, convicts of sin, produces spiritual fruit, and equips Christians for ministry and service.

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ and God's primary instrument for worship, fellowship, discipleship, service, and the proclamation of the Gospel. As a parachurch ministry, Jesus Loves Hou exists to support and strengthen the work of the local church, not replace it.

Evangelism and Discipleship

Every believer is called to share the Gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are committed to proclaiming the Good News with love, truth, and compassion while equipping others to grow in their faith.

The Return of Christ

Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to establish His eternal Kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and make all things new. Those who have placed their faith in Him will dwell with Him forever.
